This tool makes it easy to batch upload your self-made photos and videos to Wikimedia Commons. You must have an account on Wikimedia Commons to use this program. This tool uses pwiki and is an enhancement of simple-commons-uploader.

install python
pip install simple-commons-uploader
download commons-upload-tool

Authentication/Login

The Commons Upload Tool works with your normal password and BotPasswords.

There are three ways to authenticate:

Interactively typing your credentials into the terminal, by running the program with the -i flag.
Specifying your credentials via the --user and --pw flags.
Modify the python code

Behavior Details

The Simple Commons Uploader only uploads files in these file formats . Any other file types will be skippied.
